Coaching programs are some of my favorite products not just because they are profitable but also because they are fun. They allow me to personally work with my clients and impart my knowledge using my preferred channels.
Here's how you can multiply your coaching program:
1. Hone your communication skills. In order to succeed in this field, you must not only be able to effectively articulate your thoughts and ideas, you must also be able to feel comfortable delivering difficult messages in such a way that you will not offend your trainees. You can improve your communication skills by attending relevant seminars, reading relevant ebooks, and by working closely with other experts.
2. Avoid spoon-feeding your clients. Don't teach these people to become too dependent on you. Let them think and decide for themselves and do not intervene unless it is absolutely necessary. Also, make them work hard to get the information they need. Get them to do their research or do their own experiments to figure out answers to their questions. Offer assistance only when they are drifting off track.
3. Prepare for your coaching sessions. Aside from planning out your content, practicing your piece, and making sure that all the tools and material are ready, you also need to make sure that you are physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to take your clients by the hand and bring difference to their lives.
4. Offer more attention to those people who are least experienced. These people are most unlikely to follow along during your regular discussion. You may do one-on-one coaching and give them more tasks so they can easily catch up.
5. Be always available for your trainees. If you want to build a stronger personal connection with your clients, ensure that you always make time for them even if your coaching sessions have long ended. Give them your contact information where they can reach you should they have questions or should they become confuse. Although this is not really necessary, I can guarantee you that this can strengthen your relationship with these people and that this can lead to repeat business.
6. Positive attitude counts. As a coach, it is very important that you always have positive outlook in life and that you don't get easily frustrated. Remember, teaching people can take a lot of effort and patience.
